The York Public Library Board establishes policies and monitors library operations. Library Board members are appointed to five-year terms by the Mayor, subject to approval by the York City Council. Current members with their terms in office:

• Jerrine Brugh (term ends 2014),
• Susan Cox (term ends 2011),
• Leonard Hoskins (term ends 2013),
• Todd Kirshenbaum (term ends 2015),
• Michael Teetor (President) (term ends 2012)

The Board’s regular meetings are normally held the third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. A binder with copies of agendas, minutes and reports from the Board meetings is available at the front desk. Some of these documents are also available as pdf appendices to the meeting notices in the library’s event calendar.
