- CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS:
- Pre-school story times. Held most Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m., Labor Day through Memorial Day. Target audience children ages 3 - 5. Parents welcome to sit in as well. No pre-registration required.
- Summer reading program for children. Held early summer (just after end of school year) through mid-July. Program specifics vary from year to year.
- Read N’ Rec - held jointly with York’s Department of Parks and Recreation - program details vary from year to year.
- In 2007 and 2008 the Library, Parks and Recreation, and local 4-H program held joint geocache programs for children.
- ADULT PROGRAMS and EVENTS
- Friends of the Library’s Avenue of Trees — late November through January 1st
- Adult summer reading program - read & comment; program specifics vary from year to year
- Friends of the Library annual used book sale — mid-January (consult event schedule for specific dates).
In addition, Friends of the Library schedules displays in the Elmer Baker Memorial Display case, and sponsors special programs for adults and general audiences.
