Our goal is to ultimately identify the song titles matching the Octavo numbers noted below.
We’d appreciate hearing from anyone with information that would assist us to fill out the J.A. Parks music lists. We’ve found numbers and titles on the fronts of other similar sheet music, in library cataloging for sheet music, in advertising in music journals of Parks’ era, and in the Catalog of Copyright Entries. Our access to snippets of Parks’ advertising in music journals and Catalog of Copyright entries has been dependent on the vagaries of “google/books.” One long-term “wish” — we’d love to hear from anyone with a J.A. Parks Music Company catalog, or other listings of J.A. PARKS music from the 1920s, ’30s, and ’40s.

“MISSING” NUMBERS
The song arrangements corresponding to the following 8vo numbers are not identified as of FEB. 10, 2010. There may be a few additional ones with numbers higher than No. 1800.
Most of a the “missing” numbers are for arrangements added to the octavos catalog after 1925, even though the initial copyright dates may be earlier. Most of them are pieces also printed in J.A. PARKS books where we have not found OCTAVO Number listings to make the correlation. Notes about the relative chronology of Octavo numbers were inserted in November, 2010.
Kilgore Memorial Library is actively seeking J.A. PARKS MUSIC Company sheet music — we’d appreciate tips that would help us secure copies of all those we don’t already have.
