1. Visit www.overdrive.com/resources/drc/ to see if the device you would like to view the E-book on is compatible, and if the device has a “native” interface for OverDrive E-Books.
2. On your computer or OverDrive compatible device go to nebraska.lib.overdrive.com.
3. Scroll down until you see Digital Software on the left – click on OverDrive Media Console.
4. Choose the desktop version for Windows or Mac if necessary.
5. Download and install the Media Console to your computer if necessary.

In addition to the generalized steps listed below, KILGORE MEMORIAL LIBRARY has assembled tips for some common device types:

1. On a computer or compatible device go to http://nebraska.lib.overdrive.com/.
2. On the Nebraska OverDrive Libraries site, click on “sign in.” Choose KILGORE MEMORIAL LIBRARY from the drop-down participating libraries list. Then enter your KILGORE MEMORIAL LIBRARY 14-digit card number.
3. Find an available E-Book in a format compatible with your device and “add to cart.”
4. Proceed to Checkout, choose your lending period, Confirm. The title is now available for Download.
5. Depending in your device, downloading the file may open it in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). If so, synch your device with Adobe Digitial Editions, and transfer the file to your device.
6. Open the E-Book in your E-Reader device and enjoy! Depending on the device and format, you may the have to option to “Return Early.”
