If you missed “Art Thingy” on Saturday May 22nd. The second edition of this art festival showcased many creative endeavors happening in York County. There were things for all ages!

Attention All York Area Artists! Please consider participating in Art Thingy 2010 . We’re encouraging artist volunteers to include an interactive aspect so kids (and adults if they are willing) can experience each art medium. Perhaps you can demonstrate how to hold a pencil or brush, help novice hands shape a pot, guide young learners through simple dance steps or martial arts moves. We understand that some art forms may lend themselves more to an “audience participation” element than others. The success of 2009’s effort to get York County kids excited about art in all its forms is encouraging. We want to build on that experience. |
Attention participants, volunteers and attendees: Please help us by taking a few moments to complete our follow-up survey. Thank you.
Our “2009 Art Thingy” Flickr(tm) set provides a few snapshots from the first festival. A big thank you to service organizations, businesses, and individual volunteers who helped make the 2009 ART THINGY run smoothly.
